Miss Jasmin

Principal & Founder

Jasmin has over 20 years experience training students in classical ballet. She has travelled to ballet schools and companies across Europe including The Royal Ballet School, The Royal Ballet Company and The Birmingham Royal Ballet Company for education and training. She has also served on the Royal Academy of Dance Regional Advisory Panel for over 2 years.
At 18, Jasmin founded Mosman Dance Academy which has grown into one of Sydney’s most successful dance schools. In 2011 Jasmin founded Sydney Ballet School, a full-time classical ballet training school, to prepare young ballet dancers for a career in classical ballet. Since then her students have won major international and local classical ballet competitions and have been accepted into The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, The Dutch National Ballet Academy, Queensland Ballet School, Zurich Ballet School and The Australian Ballet School. Jasmin’s passion and dedication to her students enables them to achieve the highest standards in technicality, musicality and artistry.

Miss Paris

Artistic Director
Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Private Coaching, Choreography

Paris has over 12 years experience in training students in classical ballet and contemporary. Paris holds a Bachelors Degree in Design, and has project managed theatrical and fashion events nationally winning industry awards. She is MDA's head costume and graphic designer. Paris has travelled to European ballet schools where she gained experience and training for classical teaching. In 2011 Paris co-founded Sydney Ballet School with sister Jasmin Bobyk and has trained students who have been accepted into The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, The Dutch National Ballet Academy, Queensland Ballet School, Zurich Ballet School and The Australian Ballet School. Her attention to detail, creativity and choreography enable her students to achieve their personal best and experience international standards in classical and contemporary choreography.

Miss Celine

Assistant Principal

Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Private Coaching, Choreography

Miss  Celine  has  studied  classical  ballet  since  the  age  of  three  and  trained  with  MDA  for  over  10  years.  She  has  studied  RAD  classical  ballet,  Cecchetti  ballet,  contemporary,  Martha  Graham  contemporary,  jazz  and  hip  hop.  She  has  completed  all  RAD  examinations  up  to  and  including  Advanced  2  with  distinction.  Miss  Celine  also  had  the  valuable  experience  of  studying  classical  ballet  full  time  and  travelled  Europe  auditioning  at  prestige  ballet  and  contemporary  schools.  Junior  soloists  and  groups  trained  by  Miss  Celine  have  won  local  competitions  and  eisteddfods  including  two  gold,  two  silver  and  two  bronze  medals  at  this  years  Sydney  Eisteddfod.

Miss Mikayla

Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Private Coaching, Choreography

Miss Mikayla has studied Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary & Lyrical from a young age. In 2012 she began training full time ballet at Sydney Ballet School and gradutated in 2014. Miss Mikayla has competed in many eisteddfods and competitions. In 2013 she was a Royal Academy of Dance Isobel Anderson finalist and Sydney Eisteddfod 1/4 Finalist. Miss Mikayla has completed all her RAD Ballet Exams with Distinction including her Advanced 2 and was awarded her ARAD in 2015.

Miss EMMA

Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Private Coaching

Miss Emma started ballet at a very young age and studied full time from the age of fifteen. In 2010 Emma toured Europe auditioning for vocational and accepted a position at the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague under the direction of Vim Broekx. At the conservatoire Emma was trained under ex soloist of the Paris Opera Ballet Pierre Darde. Miss Emma had the privilege of performing such pieces as 'Jewels' by George Balanchine, Over Grown Path by Juri Kylian, she performed at festival Classique dancing 'planets' by Thom Stuart and performed with a junior company ' De Dutch Dance Division' in a soloist roll of their production of 'Abdullah'.
Emma is a qualified Royal Academy of Dance teacher after completing her certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies in 2017.

Miss Naomi

Classical Ballet, Private Coaching

Naomi started ballet at Mosman Dance Academy when she was 5 years old and commenced full time training at Sydney Ballet School in 2014. At the age of 8, she was accepted into the Australian Ballet School’s Interstate Training Program. Naomi has won numerous awards in competitions in Classical, Contemporary and Demi-character dance.  She received the Tessa Maunder Encouragement Award for the most promising female of the year in 2013. She also received the Sydney Eisteddfod Robert and Elizabeth Albert Junior Classical Ballet Scholarship as the runner-up in 2013 and winner in 2014. In 2014 she was accepted into the Royal Ballet School’s International Summer School and was also a finalist at the Japan Grand Prix where she received scholarships to prestigious ballet schools in Europe. Naomi was also selected as a candidate for the Prix de Lausanne in 2014 and 2015. She has achieved high distinctions in all of her Royal Academy of Dance Vocational Examinations up to Advanced 1. 

Miss Rhiannon

Hip Hop, Jazz, Private Coaching, Choreography

Miss Rhiannon is a super energetic dancer, singer, actor and Choreographer. Rhiannon’s career highlights include being one of the Top 4 girls on Channel TENs series 1 of Australia’s So You Think You Can Dance, appearing on stage with world class acts such as Michael Jackson, Kelly Clarkson & Jessica Mauboy, featuring in TV commercials for brands as big as Optus Australia and even releasing pop music as a solo unsigned artist. Miss Rhiannon has taught dance all over Australia for over 8yrs including Sydney Dance Company, Brent Street Studios as well as other major schools in Melbourne, Queensland, Perth & ACT.

Mr Mark

Tap, Private Coaching

Mr Mark is an accomplished dancer, performing professionally in ballet, jazz, tap and hip-hop. Mark has trained in musical theatre completing a Certificate III in Theatre and Screen Performance. Mark is currently studying a Bachelor of Music majoring in musical theatre at the Australian Institute of Music. Mr Mark consistently achieves high results for his Glenn Wood Tap examination students and encourages all dancers to experience the wonderful world of tap!

MISS SHANNON

Jazz, Private Coaching

Miss Shannon has trained extensively in all aspects of dance since the age of five years old. She completed her fulltime training at Brent Street in 2017 graduating with a diploma of elite performing arts and has taught dance for 5 years. Shannon has recently been apart of The Dream Dance Company’s Show Business program ran by Marko Panzic and Katie Sanchez, working closely with Sarah Alice Burns, Lee Daniel, Caetlyn Watson, Michael Dameski and many more. Shannon’s performances include dancing in the Premiers Gala Concert choreographed by Cameron Mitchell, MEA Reboot conference choreographed by Bec Morris, Myer Beauty Brigade as a dancer and performing in Westfields around NSW. 

Miss Sasha

Classical Ballet, Private Coaching (Guest Teacher)

Miss Sasha has studied classical ballet since age of three and has trained with Mosman Dance Academy for fifteen years. In 2012 she began full time training at Sydney Ballet School from which she went on to compete in the Prix de Lausanne, Youth America Grand Prix, the Genee International Ballet Competition where she received the Silver Medal and was a finalist in the Sydney Eisteddfod Scholarship. She has completed all of her RAD exams with Distinction and achieved her Solo Seal Award in 2013. In 2014 she joined the Dutch National Ballet Academy where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts. Her repertoire includes pieces from from choreographers such as David Dawson, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, Maurice Béjart, George Balanchine and August Bournonville.

Miss Jean

Classical Ballet (Guest Teacher)

Miss Jean Law studied full time classical ballet and was accepted into The Royal Ballet School in London where she achieved her RAD Solo Seal Award. After dancing professionally in Germany, Miss Jean returned to Australia to gain her teaching qualifications with the Royal Academy of Dance. With over 20 years teaching experience, Miss Jean has developed a beautiful creative dance programme for pre-schoolers to introduce them to the wonderful world of dance.
