Rehearsals
-
Dancers must attend all production rehearsals, dates listed in Key Dates.

We only have one short run-through on the venue stage, so attending every group rehearsal is essential. This helps every dancer feel confident and makes the day more enjoyable.
-
Please notify us in advance if your dancer will miss a rehearsal.
Class Attendance
-
Students must attend all their classes in Term 3 and 4.
-
Regular attendance is important so dancers learn the choreography properly. If your dancer will miss a class due to illness or another reason, please let us know so we can inform the teachers.
-
If a student misses class without notice, teachers may assume they have changed classes or left and adjust the choreography accordingly. Class changes are not permitted after the closing date of this registration form.

FAQ
Is participation compulsory?
No. Participation is optional, but we strongly encourage it. It is a highlight of the year and a wonderful opportunity for dancers to perform in beautiful costumes for their family. Learning the concert choreography is part of normal class time.
What if we will be away during Term 3 or 4?
Please email us the dates as early as possible. We will check with the teachers and advise the best options, which may include private lessons or make-up classes where possible.
What if we miss a rehearsal?
Please notify us in advance. All rehearsals are important so every dancer in the group feels confident. The venue rehearsal is especially important as it is the only opportunity to practice on the stage.
Will my young dancer go on stage?
For dancers aged 4 and under we have older students helping them on stage so they feel supported. No child is ever forced to perform — we want the experience to be positive and enjoyable. Speak with your teacher if you have any concerns.
How long is the concert?
Approximately 90 minutes with no interval.
When will I know which show my dancer is in and the exact rehearsal times?
We finalise show allocations and detailed rehearsal schedules once we have confirmed participant numbers. We understand this can make planning difficult and will release the information as soon as possible. If you have a specific time clash, please contact us.
What are the costs?
Participation fees are listed on the registration page. Dancers also need their own tights/unders, shoes and make-up. Tickets are purchased separately through The Concourse Box Office.
