BALLET

Parents didn’t want you to be a ballet dancer, here is your chance!

Whether you want to learn ballet for the first time or maintain technique, MDA’s adult ballet classes are for you. Classical ballet is the foundation of Mosman Dance Academy’s dance training and these classes aim to take you step by step through basic ballet technique as well as develop and improve your dance quality, fitness and core strength. Adults are encouraged to participate in classes over a number of terms so as to develop skills and artistry.

HIP HOP – Coming Soon
Inspired by the dance moves seen in today’s music video clips, hip-hop is an exciting energetic class suited to all skill levels. This class encourages dancer performance skills, enjoyment of music and movement while increasing fitness, strength and is more exciting than the gym! Classes incorporate warm ups, hip-hop combinations and routines.

PILATES
Developed in the 1920’s by Joseph Pilates, this class emphasises the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement. Pilates helps increase core strength and flexibility without building bulky muscle. A nationally accredited Pilates instructor will guide you through floor based exercises aimed at improving back and abdominal strength and body alignment.

YOGA
Mosman Yoga Co-op operates within Mosman Dance Academy studios and offers a complete range of yoga classes for adults taught by dedicated and qualified instructors. Click here for the full timetable and more info.
